Sam is President of the Board. He graduated from USC in 2015 with a double major in Political Science and Broadcast & Digital Journalism. He currently lives in Washington, D.C. and in his spare time plays softball for the California State Society, volunteers with veterans via the Honor Flight Network, and is an enthusiastic New York Giants fan!
Lindsay is a Communications Chair for the Club. She is originally from Los Angeles and moved to D.C. after completing her Bachelor's at USC. Her passions include education policy, puppies and musical theater. You've probably seen her posts on the club's Facebook and LinkedIn groups.
Meghan calls the DMV home, but followed in her mother's and grandparents' footsteps to attend USC. Meghan enjoys playing soccer and kickball on the mall and planning happy hours and other fun events for the Alumni Club as one of the Social Chairs.
Linda Lizzio is the Parents Chair for the USC Alumni Club. She is a native Washingtonian and is an Associate Broker in residential real estate in MD, DC, VA and DE. In her free time, she enjoys watching USC football and basketball games with her two Trojan students, and traveling to new places.
Anshu is a Communications Chair for the Club. He graduated from USC in 2016 with a B.A. in political economy and served as the editor of the Daily Trojan. He is currently a reporter in D.C., covering trade policy for Inside Washington Publishers. In addition to his involvement with the club, Anshu sings with Impitched, a D.C.-based co-ed a capella group.
Christina is a Young Alumni Ambassador for the board. She graduated from USC in 2017 with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Digital Media and Political Science, and a minor in Religion. She is a Southern California-native, but she moved to Washington, DC immediately after graduating. Christina is a news junkie who enjoys running, wine tasting, and trying new restaurants in the DC area.
Preet is a Financial Chair for the Club and CEO of the Center for Public Safety Excellence. She graduated in 2004 from USC with a master’s in Public Administration and in 2002 from UC Davis with dual bachelor degrees in Economics and Political Science. Preet lives in DC with her husband Maurice Turner, a fellow Trojan alum. Longstanding season ticket holders, they spend many Saturdays in the Fall at the LA Coliseum.
Marcos is the CFO of a software startup in DC and a Financial Chair of the board. He graduated from the USC Marshall School of Business with an MBA in Finance in 2009. His spends his limited spare time watching USC football and staying outdoors with his two German Shepherds.
Leah is the board's Professional Development Chair and Senior Advisor to the CEO & President of the ONE Campaign, a global advocacy organization founded by U2-frontman Bono to address global health and extreme poverty issues. She joined the ONE Campaign after serving in the White House from 2013 to 2018. She holds B.A. degrees in Political Science, Religion, and French from USC.
In his first year on the USC Alumni Club of Washington D.C. board, Michael currently serves as the Chairperson of the Northern Virginia region. Besides being active with the DC Trojans, Michael is a board member of the Filipino Young Professionals of Washington D.C. and is the current president of his employer’s Asian American Pacific Islander employee resource group. Michael enjoys automobiles, traveling, good food, and watching USC Trojans football.
Richard serves as a General Board Member. He graduated in May 2014 from the Marshall School of Business. After spending time in the Bay Area after graduation, he moved to DC in early 2018. He currently serves as an Account Manager for Elections and Advocacy advertising at Google. His hobbies include: working out, traveling, and supporting the USC Trojans.
Kelsey serves as Vice President of the board. A Southern California native, she moved to Washington D.C. four years ago to begin a career path in law. Currently a law student, in her free time she enjoys playing volleyball and attending concerts.
Mary is co-scholarship chair. She graduated from USC in 2009, receiving her Master’s in Education for Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs with a concentration in Student Affairs and Athletic Administration. She has worked at VCU and most recently at Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation where she runs the scholarship program. In her free time, she plays viola with the McLean Symphony, sings in a local choir, advises a few AOII chapters, and volunteers with local organizations.
Judy Kang is a D.C. liaison for the club, and a public diplomat, researcher, and art exhibit coordinator. She currently works as a Research Fellow for the CCLP Washington, D.C. office. Judy graduated with a Master of Public Diplomacy from USC in 2018, where she was a Vice President in Advocacy at the USC Graduate Student Government, a founder and a President of the USC International Graduate Students and a President of the USC Annenberg Graduate Student Representatives. She was a Cowan Scholar from 2015 to 2018.
Jonathan is the Game Watch Chair for the Club. He graduated from USC in 2011 with a major in Political Science and double minors in Art History and Business Law. He moved to D.C. for law school and now practices in the area. His spare time is spent with his fiancée, their Rhodesian Ridgeback and, of course, rooting on the Trojans. Fight On!
Nicole is an M.S.W. graduate of the USC School of Social Work with roots in the DC area going back to 1989. After moving back in 2016 with her family Nicole joined the DC Trojan network and currently works for a training and technical assistance provider developing training and curriculum for child welfare agencies seeking to improve outcomes for children, youth and families across the country. She is the current Co- Vice President of the Club and has served as the SCendOff Chair for the past two years.
Marina serves as General Board Member leading special and ad hoc initiatives to enhance the Trojan Alumni experience. She earned a Doctorate in Education from the USC Rossier School of Education in May 2018. She currently serves as a Learning Faculty at the Defense Acquisition University. Marina is an avid reader who practices yoga, plays tennis, and tests her chess game every now and then.
